Had a great time at Hananoyado Fukuya! The private onsen with forest views stole the show. The kaiseki breakfast was a feast! The room was spacious but needed a little updating. The steep hill was a workout, but the service made it worth it.

Perfect for couples craving relaxation
The breakfast was AMAZING! We had our own outdoor onsen which we used several times, soaking in the hot water while staring at the beautiful view of the lake and glimpses of Fuji through the trees. Honestly, it's like a little slice of heaven. The dinners were an experience in themselves, each course better than the last, perfectly presented and bursting with flavor.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but considering the experience, I’d say it’s totally worth it.

Our private open-air bath was a highlight, especially with its stunning view, making our experience feel like a retreat.
Dinner service took over an hour which made us feel rushed to finish and go to sleep after a long day of travel.

The stay offered a unique experience with a kaiseki dinner that showcased exquisite flavors and artistic presentation, complemented by a refreshing breakfast. Enjoying the private onsen with a lovely forest view was a highlight, providing serene relaxation. However, the room felt somewhat outdated, particularly the bathroom, which detracted from the otherwise charming ambiance. Additionally, the steep hill leading to the property can be a challenge, especially with luggage. Overall, this place captures the essence of traditional hospitality, but there's room for improvement in the accommodation.
